James M. Kim, M.D.

James M. Kim attended medical school at the University of Southern California, completed his internship in internal medicine at the UCLA- VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Southern California-Doheny Eye Institute in 2004. Dr. Kim is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been in practice since 2004. Dr. Kim is our cataract surgeon; he specializes in no-stitch, small incisional cataract surgery. Read the detailed cataract surgery information under the “Services” tab, which explains the different intraocular lens choices, including presbyopia- and astigmatism-correcting intraocular lenses, which may lessen the need for wearing glasses following cataract surgery. Timothy Ekhlassi, M.D.

Dr. Timothy Ekhlassi is our board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in oculoplastics surgery. He graduated from medical school at the University of Miami and completed his residency in ophthalmology at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. He completed sub-specialty training in an ASOPRS-accredited oculoplastics fellowship program in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ekhlassi is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Surgeons. He is interested in a broad range of ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery, including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid “lift”), endoscopic brow lifts (endo-brow lifts), tear duct repairs, Botox injections and other cosmetic surgery. He is now accepting new patients!
